What makes a good story?

• Characters
• 3-act structure
• Clear and proper language use
• motive
• resolution
• conflict

I like my story to be filled with interesting, colourful cast, but most importantly they have to be multi-faceted, and not simply characters with flat personalities (unless their role is very minimal).
